Climbed up in the second decade, one of the largest and oldest of Lithuanian metal festivals „Kilkim Žaibu“ (Arise with the Lightning) starts a new stage in its history. After ten years of hard work and expectations in glorifying the widly forgotten Semigallias name, we – the locatives – think it was appropriate tribute to our land. We perceive that it‘s all we could do now in this back country of the world. Without any sponsors, local government support and understanding of local people, we persisted here as long as we were able to. The result satisfied us. Today, this festival is known in many of the Baltic states (and not only) by heavy metal lovers. To some of them the name Semigallia is already ingrained to the pain, others took a shine namely because such locality... Carefully selected bands and every time maintained festivals attracted individual visitors from different parts of the world: Canada, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Moscow, St. Petersburg and others. It should be noted that the first 3 editions of the festival was arranged for free. Subsequently, when Baltic bands started growing, their fees increased, as well as the cost of the event was automatically increased. But we always tried to remain close to the ordinary heavy metal music fans and their financial capacity, because we are one of them.

Today we feel that the scope of the festival has expanded and its time to renew ourselves, so we are changing the location of the event. Following the traces of our history, we move to Samogitia. As once brothers Samogitians sheltered weary Semigallians after the Crusades of the Cross, so today they offered a friendly hand for us. Organizers cohorts increased significantly – for common goal has joined samogitian locatives. Since Samogitia had no heavy metal music festival before, we are happy to fill the gap!

XIth international extreme music festival "Kilkim Žaibu" will thunder on 2010 June 11 - 12 over Lukstas lake, Varniai, Samogitia! Choice of location is determined by the wonderful natural area. Lukstas - the largest lake in Samogitia and its the only lake in Lithuania, where traveler can find his piece of amber. Place is readily accessible from the nearby highway "Vilnius - Riga". Festival plans far exceed the volume of the larger event: keeping the spirit of the event, more action, attractions, space and greenery. Be noted that the festival will not be held at the well-known "blues" area, but rather at a nearby forest in the spacious square in the powerful oak, one of which surrounded the edge of the lake water. It seems that the square has waited to be found. This is a unique place for the event and it won‘t be used for anything else, except "Kilkim Žaibu".

Sorry for those who liked Semigallia’s land, "Plug Brothers'" resort and the slogan: "Arise with the bolt – dive with the plow!". Maybe we will meet there sometime in one or another occasion. In the meantime we are tightening into a new area for bringing new experiences, new actions and we believe that it will be better, stronger, more spiritual and combative!!!
