WOLFCHANT Pagan/folk metal (Germany)

Since 2003 WOLFCHANT started to prove that the proverbial “metal hammer” does not only come from Scandinavia. Extreme metal pairing with timeless melody lines, impulsive riffing and epic parts, aggressive screaming pairing with choral clean vocals is what they offer the listener.

Meanwhile the septet Lokhi, Skaahl, Norgahd, Sarolv, Gvern, Nortwin and Ragnar are among the leaders of German viking/pagan metal. With their two studio albums „Bloody Tales Of Disgraced Lands“ (CCP/SPV) and „A Pagan Storm“ (CCP/SPV) first success was achieved. Not only in the metal press who well reviewed the album, the band also reached diverse readers charts.

The band also had excessive shows on numerous club- and festival stages in Europe, sharing the stage with bands like Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Dark Funeral, Turisas, Unleashed, The Haunted, Obituary, Mayhem, Sodom, and Entombed… But that’s not all: according to the old saying the only constant is change now comes the next big step. „Call Of The Black Winds“ (Massacre/Soulfood) – the new long player became more variable and matured than ever before. It was recorded and produced at studio E with producer Markus Stock (Empyrium, The Vision Bleak). Heavier than ever WOLFCHANT will please the extreme metal fans but also unleash a new kind of thunder within the scene!
