13th edition of KILKIM ŽAIBU (ARISE WITH THUNDER)

13th edition of KILKIM ŽAIBU (ARISE WITH THUNDER), the Festival of ancient traditions and heavy music, will roar again during the Solstice on June 22 – 24, by the lake Lūkstas, Varniai, Samogitia, Lithuania.

As the previous feast has passed away, we single-voicedly decided that we want to experience that again. Since we haven't yet accomplished everything we wanted, we want to continue the tradition of Solstice celebration and make this festival even more stronger and interesting. Preparations for another THUNDER are happening continuously during the year. We are glad to see this festival growing and that it is still needed for the local public, while the foreign audience is still discovering the power of our THUNDER.

Hence the next edition of KILKIM ŽAIBU, marked by the Devil's dozen will be even larger and varied than ever. We are planning much more participators, more space, more action and innovation, while, of course, keeping the main theme of our Festival, namely ancient traditions, folklore and pagan metal, in mind.

This year we are proud to announce first three bands:
METSATÖLL – Estonia, folk metal. The most famous Estonian heavy band, that has firmly reaped it's way into the Europe, will perform an exclusive and, according to their own words, the most true show.
KRODA – folk black metal, Ukraine. This band will visit Lithuania for the first time. Musicians are enthusiastic about participating in K.Ž. feast as they got enough good feedback from their fellow countrymen who had already performed on our soil. GOSPEL OF THE HORNS – legendary black/thrash from Australia. Old school blackened thrash veterans will detonate with power! They will greatly enhance battle-like aura of the festival.

Needless to say that we will announce much more bands. However, as usual, we'll inform about them later since we've got enough time left. Also, currently, we are editing video material of the previous KŽ, which will be placed upon our site soon and everyone will be allowed to download it for free.
