ENTOMBED A.D.

The history of ENTOMBED A.D. starts in year 1987, when Nicke Andersson and Alex Hellid formed a band “Nihilist”. Couple of years later they reformed the band under name of „Entombed“ and, together with “Treblinka”/“Tiamat”, “Grave”, “Unleashed” ir “Dismember”, shaped the famous front of Swedish Death Metal. Years later their music was supplemented with so called “Stockholm Sound” - notes of punk rock, that merited a separate subgenre of death'n'roll. This stage in life of “Entombed” culminated in album “Wolverine Blues” that exposed distinctive sound of the band, which can still be heard in it's most current music.

As time went by, the band chaned it's lineup on a few occasions, but biggest alteration took place in 2014, when Alex Hellid, the only remaining member of the original “Entombed”, decided to part ways with the band and take a long vacation. All remaining members, with frontman Lars Goran Petrov leading the way, decided to continue touring and writing new albums, so they had to modify the band's name into ENTOMBED A.D. to avoid conflicts with Hellid.

Rejuvenated under new leadership, the band has already released two new, full length albums. Members of the band never miss the chance to boast they are as stong, as ever and could keep on rocking without rest. So when you will listen and watch them on a shore of lake Lūkstas, you will have no choice but to let your hair loose and bang that head as you never did before!
